In iOS 14.5, Apple now requires developers to ask to tack you. This is turned off by default. You can find the setting under, General, Privacy, then Tracking.
I thought it would be interesting to see who is actually tracking me. Some apps like Facebook of course want to track you. But I was surprised to see apps like Sling TV and Discovery Plus was asking to track me. I was also surprised to see that none of Google's apps asked to track me. Maybe Google isn't the big bad evil company that Apple wants you to believe.
This isn't every app in the app store. Just the ones I have downloaded on my phone. I included screenshots of all my Google apps. None asked to track.
